On a day with weather conditions that were ‘variable’, our group of thirteen Alfisti enjoyed the period with no showers with alternating cloudy and sunny periods as we gathered, toured, and dined in the southwest corner of the Granite State.

We started with some introductions and conversation in Peterborough, and then set off traveling west through the village of Dublin. The town center is at the top of a long grade, where we passed the HQ of Yankee Magazine. We continued on Rt 101, skirting Dublin Pond that sits at the base of Mount Monadnock. Our first stop to stretch was in the historic mill village of Harrisville, which features a weaving center and historic country store.

We then travelled north on empty roads to the village center of Marlow for our photo opportunity in its classic New England village setting. After stretching, we then changed direction to head southeast to return through Stoddard and Hancock to get back to Peterborough for lunch at Brady's American Grill. We did have a brief encounter with three enthusiastic dogs as we were leaving Hancock. A Saint Bernard and its very small lapdog pal bounded into the middle of the road, while their average-sized friend stood by trying to decide what to do. Fortunately, we could stop and they all scampered across the road and up a side road.

We had some folks and Alfas enjoying their first AONE club event: Paul & Chyso Lawless from Holliston, MA, in their 1984 Spider, Justin Vezina and Tyler Heath, each in 2024 Giulias, and my 1992 164L getting its proper premiere outing.
